Salvation

"And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)

Mankind has squandered its divine nature. Jesus said,"For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him." (John 3:17) Jesus taught,"if you are my disciples you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32)

Our salvation comes at the greatest price possible; the life and death of Jesus. Jesus taught that we must be reborn; "unless someone is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3) This spiritual rebirth is the beginning of the life of a disciple of Jesus. Jesus taught,"unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. (John 3:5) Our spiritual rebirth only comes when we die to ourselves and are united by burial with Jesus in baptism and raised to walk in a new life now and forever. This new life is a life of loving service to God and man and comes with a cost. Jesus taught, "If anyone wants to come after me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me." Our lives in this new life are blessed with all spiritual blessings. Blessings such as life, truth, hope, peace, joy, love and brotherhood. Jesus invites everyone to this narrow way. We are blessed in sharing His way to discipleship. Jesus said, "come to me all of you who are weary and heavy laden and you will find rest for your souls."
